OrHIMA Call for Nominations
The Oregon Health Information Management Association (OrHIMA) Nominating Committee wants you to suggest fellow members and/or yourself as possible candidates for the OrHIMA Executive Board positions for the next fiscal year July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024.
ALL NOMINEES MUST BE ACTIVE OrHIMA MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING.
Nominations are open for the following positions:
- President-Elect (Serves for a term of three [3] years, continuing on as President, then Past President)
- Advocacy Director (2-year position)
- Public Relations Director (2-year position)
- Secretary (1-year position)
President-Elect
Serves for a term of three (3) years, continuing on as President, then Past President.
This is a one-year position that assumes the President position in year two and Past-President in year three. As Past-President you will chair the finance committee and serve as head delegate to AHIMA. During all three years, you will be a delegate to the AHIMA House of Delegates.
Advocacy Director
Serves for a term of two (2) years.
The Advocacy Director leads OrHIMA in furthering its public policy agenda, as compatible with the goals of AHIMA, by advocating for issues of importance at state and local levels. This position also serves as OrHIMA Delegate to AHIMA’s House of Delegates in the second year.
Public Relations Director
Serves for a term of two (2) years.
The Public Relations Director facilitates communication among members and between OrHIMA and the public. This position also serves as OrHIMA Delegate to AHIMA’s House of Delegates in the second year.
Secretary
Secretary serves for a term of one (1) year.
This is a one-year term and the primary responsibilities are to take minutes at the board meetings and the annual meeting at the OrHIMA state convention. This is a great place to start if you want to get more familiar with board activities and decide what position might be a good fit for you.
