Postponed: Health Information Professionals Week

With many of our valued HIM professionals focused on work involving COVID-19, we’ve decided to postpone Health Information Professionals Week (HIP Week), scheduled for March 22–28

Although we’ve postponed our celebration, we will continue to recognize the value of our HIM professionals in the delivery of healthcare. We recognize that health data is an integral component of quality care, including efforts to curb the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this pandemic, it is important to acknowledge the dedication and effectiveness of our professionals for the positive and lasting impact they make every day.

This postponement may come as a disappointment to many who’ve been planning and preparing festivities in honor of HIP Week. Please note, we are working to reschedule this weeklong celebration to a time when our heads and hearts can fully engage with our profession’s value around the world. At that time, we will come together to applaud and celebrate the dedicated work of our industry, workers, and leaders.

Together, we are better, stronger, and more resolute in our ability to withstand this difficult season. Thank you for your continued support.
